Oh goodness the lack of updates on here. Besides an interesting & fun weekend for Steffy's birthday, also getting sick out of no where & on $80 (which I still can't get over) worth of medicine, I'm trying to just rest up. I do apologize everyone for the lack of posts, but I can not slack off on the features. :]

As you all know I am a more "put things together that I think look nice" kind of girl, but also get ideas from some beautiful women with amazing style. The one thing I love about my feature for today is that she finds things at insanely good prices & puts them together in a simple way. It's never too complicated, it's nice solid tones, or prints that can just be paired well together.

Melody happens to be one of my favorite fashionistas. Besides the fact that she is completely creative & sews her own clothes in school, she knows how to help you out when you're on a budget. Even if she's not a stylist, she shows people what can be done at a low cost with her outfit of the days (OOTD).

Any suggested places people should shop? Thrift stores. It's great finding unique pieces that you know no one else will have. You just have to be patient and have an open mind while looking around.

What would you say to people (whether it's life related, or anything)? I would say to never give up on any goals or dreams you may have. No matter how hard things may get, or how unattainable the goals may seem, as long as you stay strong and keep pushing forward, you can do anything.

So you already know what that means....BLOG FEATURES!

I did this a while ago & growing to know so many people I decided I had to do it again. There are so many talented people out there, so many interesting people, I couldn't hesitate with the idea at all. I promised that after my "surprise" (which was moving into a new place) was in progress I'd start adding more to my blog. Now that we have been in the apartment for two weeks & still not completely settled in, I can't let this slip by.

My FIRST feature for this year is a lovely blogger-friend of mine, Elizabeth. I personally enjoy reading her posts about life, her beautiful daughter & how she's evolving. Stress Kills.

Moving wasn't & still isn't as easy as we all made it out to be. Maybe it's getting the best of us & having these events planned & wanting it to be perfect is also on my list. Planning the event can be stressful, but the outcome is the best reward. I'm just hoping for the best this upcoming weekend.

Tonight, although there was yelling, crying & a lot of bull shit, in the end we just settled in, do what we normally do, laughed a lot & went to bed. If there's anything I learned from tonight is that you can't let everything get the best of you. No matter how mad you are, how stressed out things are, you have to learn to set it aside sometimes.

Nothing can just easily change, things do take time & in order for you to keep your sanity, you have to remain at some sort of peace with yourself & the ones you love. I messed up...that I do admit.

Sigh.

I will be finding more ways to relieve stress, to help myself & not end up angry over petty things. I hope that the communication we have all formed, we have a better understanding. I do know though that sometimes there are things that are said & although you think it's ok, some people will react differently. It all depends on how you say it. I will defend that to the fullest & there are times you have to just let your guard down & say sorry & I will keep attacking until that's done.

I don't know. Random ramble. Stress kills!

Slowly. . .

It's slowly coming together! As you all can see it's getting its own touch. There's more to add, things to hang up & this is just my room. Steff's room is coming along as well. We moved into here just saying lets take what we have & then gradually buy things that we need. That is exactly what we've been doing; IE: That futon that I had gotten when I moved into the old place is in her room with her furniture & it's still so relaxed. It made the setting in her room at such a high level. In my room I am trying to add some other items just to finish it up. Once we're done with our rooms we are going to focus on the living room, then the guest room/office & lastly the kitchen. I know the order seems weirds, but it's like buy something here, add it, get something for there, add it.

I love the fact that our apartment uses only two of the same colors but each room speaks volumes of it's own, makes you feel at ease in so many different ways. The dynamics of these rooms, sigh I love it!

I will continue to update everyone on how the apartment is looking. I know you saw it a week ago & above is what it looks like now. :) Two-thirds of the way there.

As for my "To Try" list, I am going to continue with the 5 photos a week, sending out e-mails for features. I also want to attempt to cook a new dish this week since we recently have gotten some items for our parents to help with cooking. I need to add one about the apartment, so...unpacking another 4 boxes. Lastly of my "To Try" list I am determined to make Steff's birthday in six days, AMAZING!

So much to do so much do - not to even mention new jewelry ideas that I am going to come out with & start selling in the next two-three weeks! =X

Eye Exam Time.

It's about the time of year for me to get an eye exam. As you all know I wear glasses & honestly I enjoy that I can wear those or my contacts because it allows different styles & looks onto my face with eyeglasses frames. lol I know it sounds silly but I have no problem wearing my glasses. I've been looking for a new pair & have been trying to get ideas of what style I'd like.

The internet is the best way of finding glasses online & there are tons that I looked into. I personally was looking at GlassesUSA.Com & found several that I thought would look nice. The website offers various styles, colors, shapes & sizes to fit your face. The part I enjoyed most was that you could take a picture of yourself & get an idea of how the glasses would look on your face.

All the pictures posted are courtesy of GlassesUSA.com. If you notice the styles I posted are either "in" at the moment, or similar to the ones that I have now. The brown ones I have are similar to the white glasses that are posted. My brown ones are actually a replacement pair instead of always wearing a nice pair of Prada ones that I have. Hence the reason I picked the Kenneth Cole pair out to have as the main pair of glasses & then switch it up with one of the other two.

Having back up eyeglasses are always nice. You never know when you misplace them. So after I go get my eye exam I plan on going to GlassesUSA.com to order an extra pair of one of the three styles that I have chose. There are tons of others & it was hard to narrow down which ones would be my second pair.

It's Tuesday & I'm updating my blog!
Let's see...what should I share?! Oh wait, I know!

WE MOVED INTO A NEW APARTMENT!!!
& let me just say there's a lot of work that is going into this apartment, a lot of decorating, cleaning, organizing, but so well worth it! I couldn't be happier with finding the place, seeing it & coming here to live. This is hopefully the place where no one feels they are going to go insane. I hope this is the place where we can come home to, kick it & just relax.

It's a two master bedroom, third room which will be the office/guest room, nice living room space, kitchen that leads to the very well sized bathroom. My closet is huge, but I still question how many things I have & not having the space to fit all these things. The only issue was the people who lived here prior to us. They were absolutely filthy & we're hoping that the paint, the new furniture, the art will all place it together.

So I wanted to share what the place looks like currently. With our vision we are hoping it's going to look gorgeous. The space so I can get a nice backdrop making do some shoots, the office/guest room so I can work on my jewelry & blog. With the money we are investing, how broke we are going to be, we are hoping this will all be worth it.

Using the Photosynth app I pieced together pictures of my room in the current state. There are things in here that won't be after we're done. When we got the cable & internet yesterday we set things up & the only room where you can sit is my room.

You can see I moved a bit when I was turning in a circle to use it, but it looks so cool when you're looking from the phone. The photo is going around the room how you take pictures of it. Here you just see it in how I took it & pieced it together.

Well as you can see: the bed color, the items that we have laying around, the door between my room & Steff's, the door to go in the hallway. The curtain we purchased Sunday, we moved in Saturday. The color of the room Jazz & I chose. Steff has a nice light hot coco color. We then used those two colors throughout the entire apartment. The fresh paint & new rug gave these rooms the life we needed. & the natural light is amazinnnng!

Anywaysssss....besides my excitement lol! I hope everyone has been doing good. Trust me I've been reading up on your blogs when I get the chance.

Tomorrow I will be getting questions together for the features. :)

Another week has gone by & things have been completely hectic. As I've stated in my previous post there are things that I will be sharing soon. I will share them in photos!

Also, next Sunday expect to read up on a challenge/give away that I thought of having. It should be very exciting. I'm ready to see what you all come up with. :)

How are all of your resolutions coming along? I honestly did make any but what I already have been wanting to do. So I will continue with my growth & progress.

Remember no matter what happens, what we experience helps us build. Being weak is a strength because you can not be strong without knowing what weakness is.

3rd Sunday Of The Year.

Can you believe we are already into the third Sunday of the year!? To think that the holidays have already passed, the weather is actually getting to winter weather (at least here in NY/NJ) & you're slowly getting used to using 2012.

I am trying to get up with my blog like I said I would. I have been slacking though on my "Try List" only because things are slightly hectic at the moment. There will be more news to share in regards to it, but hopefully by February I will have everything ready. Besides one things I will share soon, the features I am trying to organize on my blog, the earrings I am going to create again, the list I am trying to follow, & my regular day to day things - it's seriously slightly hectic. lol.

Although I want to create another "Try List" for this week, I am going to continue with last week's. I want to try & complete things to the best of my ability & not 'half ass'. So hopefully the upcoming Sunday I can share other things that I have completed from that list.

I did start using my camera a bit more. If you follow my Tumblr you will see some of the random pictures I've taken. If you follow me on Twitter you will see more of a day to day with my Instagram posts. Either way, I have been trying to see the world in a different eye, not the bland views that many others see. I want to create an image from what people see normally, into my vision of beauty.

Blurred Red Stripe

I have been taking photos that I've taken & trying to mess with them a bit. This one doesn't seem like I may have done a lot but I did. Besides that fact that it was already blurry I added more tone to it.

Doing things like this is a project for myself for the year. Just pick my camera up, take shots of whatever/whomever & either posting them or messing with them. It kind of makes it exciting to take photos because you never know what you can end up putting together.

I have to thank Steffy for being such a good sport. Now with the new tripod it seems like I will be able to do still shoots & even self shoots.

It's Tuesday Already?!

I thought a day away from blogging would go a lot slower. Yesterday I was already trying to think of what would I post for today. But today is just a start of my Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday journey. I have been considering other days to post for different reasons; one of them being a Saturday to sharing my "Try List" & which bullet(s) I accomplished. The other day would be a Wednesday to get back into doing features. A feature is a interview (video by the person, video with me asking the questions, or typed up) of a blogger, artist, photography, vlogger, designer... WHOMEVER I wish to share with everyone on my blog. Anyways....that is in the works, so be ready when I ask you to be featured.

If everyone has an iPhone they definitely know what Instagram is. It's like the Twitter app of photos for iPhone users. Apparently they have one for Android users now called "Lightbox" I believe. Either way it's a nice way to just share anything you'd like. Today I ended up sharing an outfit I wore along with just a random photo of me.

My floral Forever 21 dress was on sale at the beginning of the year. I threw on a grey sweater with my navy knitted tights. The grey combat boots I got myself for the holidays.

The curly fro has been out & about once a week. I have been trying to wear it out more often. I also don't put too much product in it, or as much as many girls that do have curly hair. I haven't used gel in more than a year & I am definitely trying to keep it that way. By the way, how can you not love that purple knitted scarf from Forever 21?!

I hope everyone's week is going good so far. There's a lot to stay tuned to....I'm also trying to fulfill at least one thing on my "Try List" so let's see when that update comes up. ;)

If you've noticed I've been trying my best to keep up with my blog & add all varieties to reach out to all kinds of readers. It has been interesting trying to do a "365" blog, but I have decided to just have selected days of blogging. Every Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday I plan on having a blog posted. If I do blog other days they are extras, some exceptions.

I also will be trying to add more photography as well as going back into personal blogging this year. It's going to be a slight challenge, but my thoughts will go down more. I want to get to do some more features, or additional features with different questions to showcase; bloggers, artists, gurus & great people. It's always nice to network & get to know others. Why not pick selected people to go on your blog that others would be interested in?!

Did I mention I am going to continue posting about outfits that I throw together. Once again, I am NO fashionista...it is nice though to be able to see what someone can do with things & how they view clothes & styles. On top of it I do get great prices on the things I wear. IE:

Thursday: My super awesome navy Hello Kitty sweater I got for Christmas from Steffy I felt went well with my tweed tan shorts. I threw on some navy tights & my high tan boots Jazz gave me. Steffy also got me that awesome red bag from Old Navy & my mom got me my lovely watch.

Another thing I want to add is a weekly "try" list. Thanks to Brit & her idea of a "bucket list", I am going to create 5 things I want to try, do or even fulfill this week on Sundays. At the end of the week or the following Sunday (considering a Saturday post) I will tell you which one I chose to do & how it went.

"Try" List:

- Write down ideas for new jewelry.

- Read the next chapter of the school work.

- Complete a test for my school work.

- Eat veggies & drink water all day.

- Take the camera out & get 10 shots.

Lets see how it all turns out.

Alcohol.

It seems to have the weirdest effects on some people.

Growing up around people who drank, to see how they would act. To see how things ended up in my home, how out of hand things got. Then to work in clubs, to bartend & see how people couldn't handle themselves because of the excessive drinking. It really does make you rethink of much you should drink, or who to associate yourself with when they drink.

Last night was a bit insane because although not my close friends, it's just the level that things got because of alcohol. Young females fighting with one another, abusive, all because alcohol completely changes them. For me to find one stranded, come back to the town we live in, for me to stop the violence that could have occurred. Due to the alcohol, the reactions, the words that were said to one another, the fists that were thrown.

People shouldn't drink if they are going to act like that. If they're going to drink it should be to a limitation. The fact that someone can go to that extent. It's completely mind blowing!

Self control is important. Just because you have self control & composure doesn't mean you can't have fun. It's all about enjoying yourself, but not allowing something like alcohol to have control over you.

Fan Mail?

Not that I should be talking about Tumblr on here, but some of us do have Tumblr aside from our "main" or personal blogs. Now Tumblr is like the popularity contest of blogs. In all honestly it is hard to find a very good blog to read & catch up on on Tumblr. But now with all these different changes going on to just make it worse for the natural bloggers.

Tumblr is the new Myspace of blogging. It makes people feel they have to constantly; reblog, get likes, post too many pictures of themselves that are hip, & answer tons of anonymous questions that are pointless. Now to create this fan mail option & on top of it to call it that. For that allow messages to be unlimited for people who want to show their "love". Like in all honestly who the hell gets "Tumblr famous" that has substance on their page?

Pardon my mini rant, I'm just wow'd by how that site has changed drastically. How people now feel the need to sit in front of their screens to get more attention by being someone online verses being themselves.

Face Products Pt. 1

I know I said last year that I would make a post about some of my facial cleansers & products. It's always nice to come across a blog that has things that you can relate to: their opinions on products you'd like to use or never thought of using. I chose one product that not only I, but Steffy, have been abusing lately.

When it says it "tingles" & "refreshes", it sure does do that! I either use this in the morning &/or at night while I'm getting ready for my day or bed. It's really just nice when you leave it on for 3-5 minutes, or at least until it dries up. Once you wash it off (I personally use cold/warm water for my pores), you will feel that sensation that the bottle is describing. The facial cleanser goes anywhere from $3-6 in this size in any Rite Aide or drug store. It's worth the money, as well as some of their other products.

Hopefully posts like this can help others. My face isn't the clearest of them all, but I really do have a cleanser for the morning & at night. I also have astringents that I have as well as moisturizers. I have a big bin & things hidden in the house of different items that I purchase, especially on sale.

If anyone tries this, or uses it please let me know.

FYI: Hot water opens up pores. When you get out the shower you should rinse your face with cold water. Also when cleansing your face you should use cold/warm water so the pores to not open up. Open pores can collect dirt and cause blackheads & pimples.

New Year, New Ideas.

Apparently I completely forgot what it's like to keep up with a blog. Thanks to Steff convincing me in creating a blog post every single day, I am challenging myself to keep up with my .com. As hard as it is to think about what to post, I am going to try to do my best to not only share myself, but keep my readers entertained.

I am trying to figure out ways of organizing this blog, as well as getting a look that I will be completely happy with. Thanks to the many people who have been helping me put my blog together; Keys & Dari, I can say it is motivating me more to want to make sure my blog is on the up & up.

It's hard to gather my thoughts to put together posts because I don't want to bore anyone. At the same time though blogging is for me & sharing it with everyone is just my own way of reaching out. With that said, whatever I do over the next year will be my way of reflecting back. Whether it is the words I type up, the photos that I take, the growth of myself or the people in my life, it will be on here for me to see.

So here goes to day three of updating everyone, sharing what is in store this upcoming year.

Two-Zero-Twelve

It's a new year & I haven't blogged in a month. Maybe because I have had no idea what to post about, or the fact that I was keeping myself slightly occupied.

Although it's a new year, I wouldn't say there is going to be a new me, but a growing, constantly learning, open minded individual. I want to learn more, achieve things I have in mind & get more involved with my blog. Although they are considered "resolutions" & it does seem easier to do starting the first day of the new year, I can't guarantee I won't be venturing off from time to time. The goals that I do have set up though, I wish to share on my blog & add more to my blog to keep my readers & dear friends interested.

With this being the ending of the holiday season, the start of a new year, it's important for me to thank all of you who have been there for me throughout the entire year, those of you who I have met who have been positive, & the important people who have stood by me. You should always be thankful for everything, every single day, but I had to emphasize it one more time that I am extremely grateful!

Along with wishing everyone a new year I wanted to share some of the goodies I received for the holiday.

Besides the lovely bags that my best friend Steffy got me, I also purchased a nice bag for myself. You can't go wrong with some new bags (although I recently found tons that I got while thrifting lol). Steffy also got me my new film camera in my favorite color. I am absolutely excited to get some photos done & framed with it. I purchased the film the other day but let me say it's slightly expensive. To add to my cameras & accessories I received a tripod from my darling Jazz. I am excited to be able to actually put my Canon back into works. I messed around with it the other day + I always use it to take photos on here. My mother is always making my pockets fatter for the holidays, hooked me up with cash to buy items that I recently purchased. My father got me a sound bar that is awesome too! It definitely projects the sound that I need for music, for movies, even just for the radio. I'm very happy with the items I received this holiday or gave to myself.

Hopefully I can get my ideas together & start posting more & also making them a reality. Bless you all for this year & remember don't ever stop growing. Growing is an important factor to life.

The most beautiful woman in the world to me, the reason I am breathing. She is the person who not only has helped me grow into I am & put me through all hell, I couldn't thank her anymore. She is my savior, the one person I know I can turn to first, even if I am scared. She will yell at me but always turn out supporting me. She will love me endlessly, even after there is no me. I can not imagine life without her because at one point she was all that I had.

Mom, I could describe you & share to everyone how much you mean to me, but I doubt they would want to read that novel I'd come up with. Besides being the blood that runs in me, you are my heart entirely! You are an inspiration to me, you show me how driven a single parent can be, how good of a parent someone can be. Even though we've had our many rough patches, you still followed through by being the best mother any child could have. I can look past the negative & build from it because you've shown me you can't always be sour. By being friends with my Father after all that he's done, you showed me some people just deserve courtesy & respect. I have taken pieces of you that I love to have with me & use for my own growth. Even though there are some traits you can keep, lol, I rather know that you will always live within me.

I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday! You look young, because your heart stays young. Although our health tries to bring us down, you out of all people will not allow that to let you continue living your life. Cheers to you & I hope you are enjoying yourself.

There are moments where you need all the strength in the world to get by. Moments where you need to be completely confident with yourself to know that everything is going to be ok. As weak as I have been, as insecure as I am, I have yet to lose my soul, myself completely.

Slowly, we venture off into our world. There are things that take us in a big whirlwind, but we just have to keep steady even if we are tripping over those steps forward. Every single day is a challenge. The challenges aren't just what is placed in our way, but more of life itself. That is the greatest challenge; LIFE! I know I've said this before but reinforcement & repetition is what sticks, what gets you through.

Pieces of me, my life, my wellness, my mental health - they've all broken off at some point or another. They might still be shattered somewhere around. I do know that not all pieces are meant to be put back together, but transformed into something better. Make a new piece & attach it to you.

Although I am weak, even insecure, I have not lost my soul or myself completely.

Anxiety, sleepless night, hating the world - it will not change what has to take place. Things need to be done despite the way I feel. Whether I am forcing myself to do it, or doing it willingly, it will, should & has to be done. For the most part depending the circumstances.

You could lose, win, or stay neutral. There's no way of knowing without trying.

Sunday: Old Navy Sales.

Today Steffy had to go & get her laptop fixed over at Apple. So we headed into the city & made a day of it. Once she finished with her laptop we couldn't help but splurge a little bit, especially on sales.

Steffy got a coupon for free undies. We ended up in Victoria Secret. I couldn't help but take a picture of that beauty up there. Adriana Lima is definitely good eye candy.

We then browsed into H&M right next door on 34th Street. The knit on these sweaters are so pretty!

Uniqlo just opened at the end of October. We wanted to see if they had anything to offer there. Once we stepped out of the store we walked across the street to Forever 21.

This store though, OLD NAVY, definitely won us over for the day. Before heading to Midtown, we were down near 18th Street & went into one. We made most of our purchases there. Then we went into the overly packed Old Navy on 34th Street.

I decided to record a video of what purchases I made today. Although money is tight right now, I couldn't help but get the sales that they had going on today. It definitely made me feel a bit better about how things are going lately.

Who Saves You?!

I've been thinking about this since it's been said to me. It's not that there isn't someone to save me because there is, but I lie to pull the line when it comes to them wanting to help. I don't mind helping, I actually enjoying completely going out my way for others if I can. The person who told me this is right though "Not everyone cares about you, or how you feel. They will take this and use it to their advantage. It's about them before you." I know that some people are like that, I know some people just use kindness to their advantage, but I can't change who I am. Well I can, but I guess in a way I refuse to.

I like being kind, I love to give when I have & even if I don't I find a way to manage. That is something that makes me happy. "You put everyone before yourself and sometimes it has to be about you." Another thing they are once again right about. Things is I rather be the one hurt in the end then see others hurting. I rather know I was the one person who actually cared & that one person who did what I could in their life. Thing a lot of people don't realize is; I do notice when someone takes advantage of me. Those people get their one gulp of help, then from there I ease off completely. I still remain friendly but don't go out my way like I once did.

I know I may seem completely naive, but I can't help for caring about others. In the end who cares for me? Who saves me? There have been people who have gone out there way to help me, I just do not accept the help.

It's still lurking in my mind. I am just. . .STUCK on it!

I've noticed that I have a bad habit of collecting things. The problem is that they sit around & don't get used. I had nail polishes & a brand new Forever 21 skirt up, but those are already gone. I do though have sneakers in mint to good condition that are under $50. I also have some shoes & purses that I want to get rid of. It's pictures like these that I come across & can't help but think about you. Don't get me wrong moving on doesn't mean we forget. I can't forget you when you've had one of the biggest impacts on my life. As much as I've been holding in what I've been feeling, holding in these words, I just had to let them out, had to share it.

You will always be someone I will love, always be someone important to me. As many times as we've tried to make it work, as many times as we've said "I love you" - in the end it doesn't matter. Who knows what the future holds for us, if there will be an us, but right now you are living your life & I am going on with mine.

I can't say that you're better off because I don't know. If you are though I am happy for you. I reached out to the girl that you made me hate you over, I told her that if it's her that you choose, I am happy for you both. She gave you the attention I wasn't capable of providing you because I was too torn by all that was done. I still held all the abuse again you. Deep within me I hated you for ever laying your hands on me, no matter how mad you were. Because of me, because of US, you turned into a monster.

& even after all of that, after all we've put each other through, I still can't seem to stop loving you. But I'm empty; although I think of you I am empty when it comes to thinking of us again. At one time when we went to take that picture together I pictured us in it. We've always wanted to share a boat ride together. But now, those images are empty, just like that boat. There will never be an us together in a boat, riding along, enjoying one another's company. We will never be (maybe because of you, maybe because of me).

Knowing that this is completely irrelevant & isn't of importance anymore, just as I am not of any importance anymore to you - Please know that there are times you still cross my mind, that boat ride we always planned on taking.

Celebrated Halloween this year & it was pretty cool. The outfit wasn't even as much as I expected it to be. Everything could be found in the house, except the lip liner & the make-up. LOL If you've been following my Twitter you would have seen the other pictures. :)

Not only that I was having a give away to random tweeters. People who began to follow from 1-50 then those from 51-100. I used a website instead of writing all 100 names because my hand began to cramp. The website I used was 'Random Student Selector', but it works out just the same. I had to Google and look up ones that other bloggers have used. I stayed true to it & the first ones it chose I cropped & as you see are the winners of a pair of earrings that I made.

I know the other day I posted up about a give away to the 100th follower. Well people are playing around a bit so they could be the 100th follower, so I decided to change it up a bit! ;)

As you can see I did a 1-50 follower give away. I literally am putting names in a hat from the 1st-50th follower & going to give them a pair of earrings that I made. I decided this would be great to do with follower 51-100. I know who is the 50th follower, I've kept track. So this should be interesting on how it works out. I have so much updating to do on this blog it's a bit ridiculous. I've been clueless on what I should write on here & this is my primary blog. If you've been following me on Tumblr, you'll notice my random Instagram posts. I am now expanding (once again) networking wise & I recreated a Twitter account. GASP!

I figured if I want to make this blog more of a read & want people to see what I do with my hobby; I need to go back to networking more instead of worrying about people's stupidity on networking sites. If you follow my Twitter you will see my Instagram posts (which if you have Instagram you should follow me on there), as well as updates on when new earrings are posted on Etsy.

Currently I am doing a give away to the person who is my 100th follower. I think every time I get to the hundredth (ie: 200, 300) follower, I will offer them a customized pair of earrings.

This blog will get some new buttons on the side: Etsy, Twitter & a new e-mail that everyone can contact me at besides my G-mail (Ahlexandria@Ymail.Com).

Definitely just had to make a vlog about why I don't need to do much texting anymore with the help of my new iPhone 4S. It's a great feature, especially Siri as a whole.

I know the look is really raw, but personally it is what it is, this is me on a Sunday. :)

If anyone has an iPhone & has apps that they like, please do share. I'm always interested in new apps & I like to review them. Also, those are some good apps for the rest of you to use. I'm still iffy about 2 of them, but for the most part that's what I use (not including the games I have)

Relieved In A Way.

I feel some sense of relief. Although it may not have been the normal thing to do, I had to do it. I was holding it in for far to long, it wasn't letting me move on with my life. This grudge that I had let build up inside of me, letting it eat me - but for what?! This girl didn't do anything to me, because who am I to her?! I am a nobody. My ex though, she was someone important to me & for her to turn to her burned me. While trying to fix things with me, while trying to make things "better" between us, she runned to her because I couldn't find the way to give her all of me; the love, the attention, the comfort that she wanted because I was inflicted with all this pain that we had caused to one another.

It's sad. It honestly is that so many months later I still cry about it. I cry about things because I can't believe they happened, or that loving me wasn't enough. It held us there for so long, but on this thin thread that eventually tore apart. As hopeless as I was, & still am, I can't let my emotions for my ex make me hate this young girl. I can't hate either or them, I don't have the hate in me, I just rather share how I feel & hopefully with her understanding I can feel better.

This all seems crazy, all seems so odd for me to even mention, even to bring up to her. I had to though, I needed to get that sense of relief that I shared how I felt. Even if it comes from no where, out of the blue, I know it's what I needed to do (for myself mostly). She seems like a wonderful person, she's a great parent & she's intelligent. Someone so positive as that, my ex deserves in her life, deserves to make her happy! I only want the best for my ex, for anyone that has come into my life. & although the past can not be forgotten, I know I can move on with a clear mind & a less weighed down heart.

Hopefully what I needed to do has helped me.

Pride event in NJ.

Sunday - what an eventful day. Out all day wearing a pair of earrings I made. Going to the Pride event that they had, as well as enjoy the view that was right behind it all.

Within 24 hours I had sold 4-5 earrings. I am proud of the outcome & will continue to post new items once a week. I am still taking requests & working on requests. As usual everything is hectic.

Ladies & Gents,
You do not know how exhausted I am. I am absolutely excited for my shop that I just opened up on Etsy (click the link to check it out). I posted several earrings for now, but I am going to do my best to get more up. It's very hard to do it on your own - any of you who are doing your shops alone, I admire you! Hopefully you all enjoy. I am still taking requests but will post new earrings on Etsy as well.

Le Sigh! I can't even thank everyone who has helped motivate & support me through this. I was determined & I made it all happen. Now I want to make sure I keep adding new items & gain new followers & loyal customers.

Keeping this a simple post for the day. Have a lot to get done before Sunday. Hopefully it all comes together accordingly. I really can't stop thanking people for being as supportive as they have been, it has been motivating me to continue doing what I'm doing.

It's too cold for me. I am wearing my leggings under my khakis, with a jean shirt & a grey sweater underneath. As you can see I'm trying to break in my leopard shoes. :)

Friday is tomorrow - I'm hoping Steffy comes & spends the weekend with me, she's like the manager of this entire project going on.

Drained, drained, drained.
Back to work I go tomorrow. Took two days because I was feeling completely out of it, I get sick quick & I needed the time. I'm continuing with my goals, but one is a bit of a struggle. I'm working on it though.

I did though straighten my hair as I intended in one of my goals. It also got cut! Took about 3-4 inches off. It was down to my bra strap in the back, but it was completely dead. So now when I have my curls it'll be extra, mega short!

I took some time off for myself. My body is honestly on the verge of giving up on me & I can't deal with it. I feel depressed, stressed out & over-thinking a lot of things that I shouldn't. I need to let it all just fall in place & stop wondering. If I know I'm doing my best, how much more can I push myself? It's a matter of trying to the best of your ability, not killing yourself over it.

A nice part of today was the package I received in the mail. It put a smile on my face. I need new flats & skips. Gradually I will build up on fall/winter clothes & items. I really need some thicker material clothes, but for a good price. I need to find some more thrift stores & deals.

I hope everyone had an amazing day. By the end of the week I'm hoping some things fall together for me. Either way, I have to keep going with my day to day.

Each post this month will consist of the day it is written on. This is just to go along with a the daily photo that I am doing with Steffy, as well as not knowing what a title could possibly be. Creativity is going to lack in some places when it needs to be put else where at the moment lol.

I have to thank the majority of you that have contacted me about the earrings. It seriously has helped me & inspired me to do more. I get ideas from all of you, I feed off of what you all have to say. Negative & positive remarks are great, at least it's feedback. No response to what you are doing means that you might be doing something wrong.

Funniest thing on Instagram when I posted this picture: "They spelled your name wrong." I know it was a joke, but seriously, people are so used to using my name with the H. It's quite interesting how long it's been with me. Anyways, Starbucks was definitely a 'picker-upper' today. I feel completely out of it, but still am trying to achieve my goals. 3 earrings minimum a night, let's see which 3 I will be working on today.

I've noticed that lately I've been using old techniques & aquiring new ones to make my earrings. They have sort of the same "style"/"look", but are different than the last. I'm excited for the Etsy shop to be up & running next Sunday. I hope it gets great feedback!

While reading Steffy's new blog I decided that I'd like to join her in some of what she shared. It is October first. It is time to set a monthly goal, or set things up where you begin on a fresh little chapter. Every month we all can gather up what we'd like to do or continue on what we'd like to work on. I decided to make a list as well:

Get my Etsy up by Sunday the 9th.
Have a photo for each day of the month.
Attempt to add more water to my diet.
Find new ways of cooking different meals.
Straighten my hair at least once this month.
Do one test a week for my college courses.
Make 3-5 earrings a day.
Get back to messages within 24 hours of receiving them.
Find positive outlooks.
Pick a new book to pick up and read.
Go on some of Steffy's journeys that she had planned.

Just a brief little overview of what it is I want to achieve. I think I am capable of doing so & I have already started my next coursework for school. I'm making sure that I take notes & do what I feel will help me remember everything. I am trying to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher. Let's see!

OOTD: Thrift blouse & stripped skirt.

This is a long overdue post. I was practically creating a post every day to. . .well, never! Things always seem to be completely hectic, juggling everything has been hard, but I'm trying my best. I seriously just need to make more use of the Blogger app I have to set up posts & have them up & going. I don't want to leave the readers out of the wind with everything going on. I've been posting a lot of photos on Tumblr because it's just as easy as one-two-three. I want to make sure that I keep everything up to date, even if it's just a weekly post.

To all the new followers I wanted to say thank you. I know that with the give away that Liz had recently, it definitely brought about new readers. For those of you who have complimented my work thus far, I really appreciate it. Feedback is essential to growth, no matter if it's positive or negative. - Please remember that whether it's a hobby, a job, or even just life in general. Also, congratulations to Miss.Tapia for winning the contest. When you get the earrings & wear them if you could please send me a picture I'd appreciate it so much!

As for my earrings:

I've been getting asked on how to purchase earrings. As of right now it is per request. I am currently working on setting up my Etsy account. I am hoping in two Sundays I can share the "Grand Opening". Haha! The earrings are coming along & they're not as easy to make as it may seem. I love how everyone has contributed their sense of style & what color scheme they'd like for what they will be wearing. It helps me narrow down what to use & how to put everything together. If you go to the earrings link I have posted on my Tumblr, you will see those who have received earrings from me thus far, as well as ones that I have been creating. I will create either a little button or link on the side of the blog so you can just click right from my .com to see the earrings. This helps those who don't have Tumblr. Samples of these earrings are obviously attached into the blog. :)

My design for my blog is still simple. The revamp didn't work out all how I wanted it to, but I do like simple. I actually did it myself, but another thing I want to do it get back into designing. This way I don't have to bother any of you lovely ladies for banners. I am working on it, so please don't make fun yet! Lol.

I've come to the conclusion I have an addiction to sales! I literally went thrifting this weekend & although I didnt' get as many things as I thought I'd walk out with, I definitely got some nice deals. Who can go wrong with a brand new Talbots blazer that was once $88 & got it half off the ticketed thrift price & paid around $9? Can you understand my addiction now?! I still have things that have yet to be worn that I found thrifting that I will be wearing soon with this weather. As for sales, OH MAN! That's another blog within itself.

Please note that these items are handmade, so they are fragile, especially the crosses. I know I haven't been posting as much as I should have been. I was trying to keep up with day to day, but I have been completely slacking. It was easier posting to Tumblr because of the app that I had on my phone, thank goodness for the new Blogger app that I mentioned in yesterday's post.

I've been a bit busy, also I've been sick. But I'm trying to make sure that I send everyone's earrings out that has requested as soon as I can. I had to restock on items, so hopefully this week I will finish on the huge list that I have going. First & foremost:

To those who lost someone during 9/11/01 or because of 9/11, my love goes out to you & your family. A decade has passed & time hasn't healed all wounds.

NFL:

IT'S THAT TIME OF SEASONNNNN! I'm a big fanatic of football. I can watch all games & enjoy each one. I honestly don't have a favorite team, there are some I prefer to watch, but I do keep up with the games and the players. All the games from today were absolutely great!

iPhone Apps:

I also downloaded new apps onto my iPhone. You will see some posts from my iPhone & especially those from the new Blogger app they finally have. Hopefully it'll be easier to keep up with, just like it is with my Tumblr. I have all these different photography apps: Instagram (@Ahlexandria), some collage app, an editing app (to brighten the iPhone photos) & then this cool app called Pose. Yankee games with Mom. :) These are the moments when it's priceless. I had such a great time just seeing my Mom & doing things we used to do when I was younger. We had a nice mother-daughter day & we plan on enjoying others. Hopefully we can see one more Yankees game before the season ends, if not we have the NHL, NBA & my favorite, the NFL coming up!

I have other pictures that I will fix & edit. On the mean time this one was my Mom's favorite. I also am getting earrings together to ship this week to some lovely bloggers. :)

Friday = Jean Day. It's cold in here, but definitely an easy going day with the upcoming holiday weekend. I did my first mailing for the earrings today. Put two pairs in there for Melody, with some little extras that I hope she likes. I plan on sending her more soon with a shirt that I will fix up with studs or a little design. Everyone who has contacted me about the samples have been nothing more than supportive. I can honestly say that I am beyond grateful for everything. You ladies, even gents, have been awesome!

I'm going to work on some more earrings this weekend. I am taking requests for the moment because it makes it easier to know what is wanted. I will soon set up my Etsy account once I get extras.

My First Pair.

This pair was my first set of earrings I made. The crosses are apparently the "in" thing now a days so I went & purchased several to use. The crosses are made from fresh water seashell which makes them extremely fragile. I learned that if you drop them, they break. I have made a few others since & have given them to friends (IE: Steffy) who have been trying to help me get the word out there. I'm planning on sending a few others out by the end of this week to some lovely ladies: Melody, Dari, Liz, Kasey & Esspi. Hopefully they all enjoy them & stunt them hard. ;) It's going to be a busy few days after my regularly scheduled day, but it'll all be worth it.

Simple + Comfort.

Another day of being completely exhausted! I'm not sure if it's because of the weather change, or I just haven't been getting more than 6 hours of sleep. My body is on the verge of collapsing! I don't think the health issues I have makes it any easier for me.

Anyways,
I wrote down some outfit ideas on Monday to pull out for the week. It worked out pretty well. Yesterdays outfit was mostly H&M, easy to just pull from the closet already put together & put on after my shower. Today, same thing. I have my H&M Trousers on, with a peach shirt, my Forever 21 sweater, my thrift belt & my little laceless oxfords from Payless. No matter where you buy, as long as you like it that's what matters. The majority of the things I wear I've had & just started throwing them together or wearing them.

Happy Wednesday! Friday isn't here soon enough. Monday is Labor Day & I just want to have a nice relaxing weekend.

I purchased the skirt and tribal shirt from H&M for no more than $5 each. My jean button down I got at the thrift for about $3. I wore my Steve Madden sandals that I've had that have a funky "snake" print, but in some way matched the shirt.

I've been completely exhausted. Things have been so hectic & I've been trying to make sure that I get some sample earrings out to fellow bloggers. I don't have high hopes, but I do wish that things turn out good with this hobby. It's something that I feel I can enjoy, it's something creative & other people can share my work with me. To the people who have supported me I can't thank you enough. Seriously, anything that keeps me humble & that allows me to use the ideas in my mind, is always positive.

For some reason I can find the motivation to take this test & restudy what I need to for it. It honestly just stinks that my mind isn't in that zone, but I have to force it to get there. UGH! What to do what to do?!

I hope everyone has been doing well. Update me, let me know how things are going. If I haven't commented on your blogs it's because 1) The one at here at work is odd & won't let me with my Google name unless it's a pop out. 2) It's difficult from my phone. 3) I just needed this extra number. LOL.

Due to the hurricane I'm stuck inside. It's a lot easier to post on Tumblr then it is here from my iPhone, so I posted some pictures of the apartment while I was bored. Unfortunately since I've moved there, there has been issues. Flooding has occurred, as well as making sure the wall that was taken down to fix the electric was rewired properly, & tons of other things. Finally after some time of being there I got to put things up & decorate. It's coming together slowly. I still need to add some things, but so far so good. :)

One Week Left.

There's only one week left of August & I still haven't gone to an amusement park, or the beach again. Well I did go to the beach in July, but not since then. I really need to make the best of my first weekend of September, even if it means dragging myself out of bed to enjoy it!

I have a jean skirt on today and my plaid quarter sleeve tucked in. You can't notice in the pictures but there is purple, so I wrote my purple sandals that you saw in last weeks post. The nail polish on my toesies aren't the same though lol. I'm very tired, so the first picture doesn't do much justice for me.

I created a Tumblr again! I wrote my nice little letter to Tumblr on there so you should check it out. With what I am trying to do I need to branch out more, even if it means going back to that annoying site. I hope that it's going to benefit what I am trying to do & bring about new viewers. My blog site is my main concern, my once a day post. Tumblr is literally being USED, I really just want it to work out. SO if you do have a Tumblr you should follow me! :)

Mini-Earthquake.

Today we experienced in the Tri-State area the tremors of a 5.8 earthquake that happened in the DC & Virginia. To those of you who are out there I hope things are ok with you & your families. The city is crazy right now with this, even calling home to my Mom in Long Island & checking in to NJ they said it scared them. Now we're being told that there is supposed to be an aftershock of 6.2 around 6pm. I will try getting home as quick and fast as possible.

My phone isn't making too many outgoing calls, only some not others. It won't take incoming (although they all go to voicemail any way because of the setting I have), still can't get to voicemail. Even the phones at the office are giving us a hard time calling out to some numbers. People have stepped outside the building, scared. I can't blame them, it's something they aren't used to, something NYC hasn't experienced in sooooo long!

This shall be an interesting remaining year. I wonder how we'll go into 2012.

This is the second time I give hints about the hobby/project I'm working on. Any ideas? Take a guess! ;) lol. I really love what I put together for today with some nice gold braided sandals. Simple for a Friday with my jeans. Now if only my jeans wouldn't fall down on me I'd really appreciate them.

I do apologize for the grainy quality. My 3GS camera is just not the best & my Canon has been waiting for me to play with it. My next venture to get back into once I find something to take pictures of. Honestly, AmorKeys' blog has inspired me to get back into photography, even if it's the simple things. Anything can either show it's beauty or how ugly it is. Either way it's a matter of sharing that with others & they can see it in their own light. Just because I see something that is ugly they might find beauty in it. Le 'Sigh, let's see if I can push that effort in too.

More news, more things, it's just a matter of time.

You've seen this shirt in a previous OOTD post. I decided to switch it up a bit from how I wore it. I found these harem-type pants at Danice for $6.99. They're very comfortable (I'm all about comfort) & flowy & cute. If you notice, I use flowy a lot! Anything that relates to comfort is essential in my wardrobe. They aren't down to the ankles, so more like a 'high water' kind of cotton pants. To make the purple stand out in the shirt I wore my Bamboo peep toe flats. I've had them for so long, but I know I got them at a great price.

There's something in these pictures that will be shared later on when I gather more information together, something relating to yesterday's post. I will share everything soon, very soon, once I get it all together & everyone can be a part of it. ;) Until then, you will have to play "I Spy" basically to find out what I might be speaking of. Pwah haha!

I hope everyone is having an amazing day. I have several things I want to do tonight & what I need to prepare for tomorrow night (which I hope pulls through well). Stank Face & Inexpensive Buys.

   Let's start off that I'm a fool. I have a bad habit of making stank faces. I had to share that with everyone lol. I also wanted to share my outfit for the day. The shirt that was is a thick jersey material shirt. Danice had a ton on sale for $2, so I definitely splurged & got a couple of them. The skirt is from Forever 21. It's nice & flowy and not too short at all. I paid $9.50 for it & decided to get this color instead of purple (which I LOVE purple!) because there were a lot more on the racks.
   I also will be sharing some exciting news very soon! I'm getting my things together for this new hobby that I am going to start doing & hopefully with all my family, friends & readers support it will all turn out well. My family & friends have already thought I'm creative & this is a great idea. I even getting offered a helping hand! :) I have to say, they're all so amazing! So I just want to get my feet wet & then show everyone everything.
   I finished 'Ask Alice', which I want to write about too. I am trying to figure out what will be my next book. School work needs to come into play some time soon. I have a test that I need to take which I completely forgot the material for in order to start the next section. - If you all don't know I'm taking classes in Business/Accounting. I figured since it's a field that I've been in for a while I can build on it for an associates. I've messed up so much when it's come to college & my health played a major role. I'm just trying to get myself back in the swing of things, slowly but surely.
   & of course the PICTURES! I haven't forgotten, but still haven't had internet where I'm staying. It really stinks, I won't say that it doesn't. I have pictures still from Jamaica, 4th of July, my trip to Virginia & the wedding from Sunday. I probably have others in there that I need to post up too, UGH!

'Tuesday's With Morrie'.

I can not even describe how in love I fell with this book. I know it's a bit hard to know which sections I enjoyed, but even reading the entire paragraph in the picture you will see that it's very good for self improvement. I honestly suggest that everyone takes the time to read it. I can send the extra book to anyone, as long as they're willing to send it back lol. It helped me get a better grasp of my health, the issues I deal with & life overall. It gives you a better understanding of what life should be like & why people are so clouded by decisions & what we believe for it to be like.

TROUSERS! When I was with my mom this weekend she helped me look for some trousers for work. I found these khaki pair & two others at H&M. I'm not normally a spend more than $20 unless I have to kind of girl, but I really had to. $29.99 at H&M & I couldn't have been happier with the material of the pants and how comfortable they were. They are also regular rise pants, not low rise, so I can either wear my shirt out, or tucked in (like above). Although I look like a Target worker (which I did for a year of my life when I was younger), it was very comfy & a different look for me. :) The shirt is from H&M from a long time ago & the sandals I got on sale at H&M for $7. My braided belt, which I rarely wear belts, is from the thrift shop. Can't go wrong at all.

If anyone knows any where else I could find some nice pants that I can make into casual business wear please let me know.

Today isn't over, but I figured jot down what I have had on my mind to write. So here it goes. . .

I was given a receipt for $2 after 2pm on Grande drinks at Starbucks. I took the opportunity and tried something new. They have a Mocha-Coconut Frapp, but I'm not much of a fan of Mocha. The girls let me switch it up and put Caramel instead. Let me just say, DELICIOUS!

I started reading 'Ask Alice' on Friday on my trip down to Virginia. I have to post pictures from the photoshoot I did of a "cousin" (a close friend) skateboarding. He is sponsored by this company called Yums, which became big through some rappers. I owe everyone a lot of pictures, I'm just waiting for the internet to come back up. These will be up soon, along with the rest. 'Ask Alice' is amazing! I am half way through it & plan on finishing it by the end of this week. Then I will have you all hopefully help me pick the next read. :)

I am going to post about 'Tuesdays With Morrie' by hopefully mid-week. I also want to make some other posts that have been requested by Dari & Steffy. This week should hopefully be filled with some new things that will interest the readers (IE: A post about homemade milk shakes ;)). Let's see how it all goes.

Hope everything has been well for everyone. Things have been hanging in there on my end, but I am living which is important. I breathe every single day & I can wake up to see what life has in store. I am very grateful for that. Although I am sick every other day, always something, I appreciate being able to learn, see & enjoy more.

Wednesday's (8.3) Dinner, Left Overs (8.4), New Reads.

What a title right?!
I want to be able to gather enough in a blog so it doesn't get boring. The goal is to be able to reach out to more followers, not lose any. lol

On Wednesday I made spinach cooked in fresh garlic with corn. Seasoned rice. Thinly sliced chicken breast cleansed in red wine vinegar then seasoned with onion powder, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, chicken seasoning, pepper & spicy pepper. Cooked in a pan with fresh garlic.

I had left over chicken and spinach/corn. I threw them in a pan heated them up and the veggies cooked in with the chicken reduced the 'heat' taste of the chicken. Left overs definitely were amazing.

I finished 'Tuesdays with Morrie'. That is going to have to be a blog within itself because I have quotes that I want to post as well as what I feel about the book itself. Now I need a new read & maybe I could get some suggestions. It's either that or I'll just close my eyes and point. lol But they all seem like great reads, so I'm trying to sum it up to one of the three.

I have so many books that I've purchased to the point that I just noticed when finding these I had an extra 'Tuesdays With Morrie'. I even have the male version of 'Eat, Pray, Love', 'Drink, Play, F@#'. But I've narrowed it down to those three books and I'm just caught on which to start. -sigh-

Tuesday's (8.2) Lunch & Dinner.

Steffy & I have been figuring out healthy meals that we can make ourselves. She also mentioned that we should make posts about what we eat. Of course with her fantastic ideas I said "LETS!" Yesterday I had a vegetarian lunch (I'd like to call it) & a nice dinner that I seasoned with some help of a website that I found on Google.

Lunch: I had tuna with a little bit of mayo. I seasoned the tuna with lemon pepper seasoning. My tomatos and string beans are lightly seasoned. Wheat bread and some garlic pickles.

Dinner: Porkchops seasoned with a little bit of salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder & soy sauce. Then I placed it in the pan with tomato sauce that coated the noodles on the side.

They were both so enjoyable. I had a iced tea for dinner and drank my homemade iced tea at lunch. :)

Right now I know you're down, but trust me, if you let it get the best of you it will. It will take over you & you will feel worthless. I've been there. I can't feel anymore worthless then what I am because my health already has done that share for me. All I can do is use the time that I have to make something of myself and leave an impact in this world. PLEASE DO THE SAME!

I wrote that to a friend today. She's going through something & I have gone through that same feeling. But all you can do it move on from it & make yourself better because of it. Now I know I think negative when I am in that same position in that moment, but I have found a way to try to build positivity into myself. There is no one to blame but yourself for your actions. Although others may have part in it, at the end of the day you chose to do so. So from that choice, you must decide where you want to go.

I hope she takes what I have written to her, including the above, and use it to her advantage. She's a bright young lady & she can get very far. I honestly just wish the best for everyone & hope they succeed in all they wish to do in their lives.

I woke up feeling productive. I got some pictures that I took on trips, vacations, random journies & printed them so I can put them in frames for the living room area of my current home. Shopped for groceries and after putting them away got to go swimming and BBQ. :) I haven't been in a pool this entire summer besides Jamaica, so that definitely was relaxing. The only thing I am upset that didn't happen Sunday was a yoga/stress class I was supposed to take that morning with a friend. Hopefully this upcoming weekend, or next week I can do that, it's more than needed.

I know the picture quality hasn't been good lately. I've been trying to take pictures with my phone and whatever I have in that moment. I havent' taken a picture on my baby GeeMac in forever! I figured I might as well start doing more, even if it means my laptop or my phone. Steffy & I even decided that what we cook (because we cook healthy items but tasty dishes) would be a nice contribution to our blog. I have plenty of ideas, especially a homemade ice tea that I want to add. This week I definitely will. :)

I just started reading this book yesterday. I am completely addicted to it & would love to live the way this man did, with his mentality. All these books that I've read that are self improvement are just incredible. Although I am no where near done with the book I just wanted to share a quote that I really liked from it: "So many people wlak around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."

I suggest that everyone grabs this book from Amazon, or even in a thrift like I did. I purchased it for $1.50 after being determined to read it when a girl had it on the train. I honestly would have paid the $15 in a regular book store.

Darianne is completely awesome for helping me come up with 2897328+1 little designs to change up my blog. I like the one she came up with that I have up with the Hello Kitty bow. How cute is that?! She got to read more into me, read my about me section & figured out different little banners to post, as well as backgrounds that would go nice with it. I definitely will be working with her more, especially love reading her blog & how versatile she is. Wish she was closer to have a brunch date, but I guess via internet will have to do for now. I was reading my friend Beans' blog & her friend Gio posted the most amazing thing ever to describe Tumblr & how impersonal it has become for bloggers.

Is getting infested with the same rats that scurry through Facebook and myspace. You cant post anything originally because most people just save it and repost it themselves. Not to mention, people throwing up millions of pictures of themselves and asking people to follow them based on their appearance because they have this desperation for their 15 minutes of fame. And all these ignorant questions and people arguing with others who they haven’t even met. I feel bad for you. I really do, you must not be able to function in society because your so used to having this Internet persona. you know damn well in real life, YOU AINT SHIT. These social networks have seriously mentally impaired our generation. Yeah, you may some slick shit on the Internet but thts excuse you have the biggest resource of knowledge in front of you, you don’t have facial confrontation, and you have time to think about what your going to say. In person 95% of y’all would not even think about saying something you would online. Wether if it’s because your a pussy or because your brain can work fast enough to actually have a comeback.
I know people are probably thinking “so delete your tumblr”. Fuck that! Why don’t you all stop being juvenile losers, go out, explore, and BE YOURSELF.

How beautiful is that?! Exactly what I think of Tumblr, exactly how I feel & many others. I won't be back on Tumblr for a while, even if the amount of followers were a lot more then I'm receiving by moving my .com to Blogger. It happens, but I rather know someone is looking into my blog for what is said, not just pictures of myself & the typical posts being made on pages.

Although the pictures were taken my phone, you can still see the beauty of what I got to walk around & see. Steffy & I took some time to walk around & try to catch the movie. We met up with a few people to see 'Easy A' outdoors, but when Eli & Steph (Eli's wifey) told us that it was cancelled we were a little disappointed. Eli & Steph ended up leaving us & everyone else relaxed near the lawn, talking junk & just enjoying the nice breeze. Nights like these are nothing less than amazing!

City Walks & Talks.

When I got a text Sunday night from her I didn't expect it. I was actually shocked that she had even wrote to me two weeks later after I had to visit the ER. I was a bit upset with her, but in the end we are strong & our bond involves a lot more. People will disappoint you & upset you, but it's a matter of over coming it that proves the definition of the relationship you have.

Yesterday evening we got together. She said she wanted to talk about things, she wanted to just enjoy my company. How could I go wrong with spending time with someone who I know that I am guaranteed an amazing time with no matter what we do. It was nice to just hug her, to see her face & most of all to have her open up to me. She's the type of person who doesn't like to speak about what she deals with, but on our 30+ city block journey she shared everything to catch me up. We spoke about the moon, the sky, the grass, even down to the bugs that crawl. She told me she was on a strict diet, so Pinkberry is always a nice cooling, delicious, healthy dessert. It was her first time trying it & her reaction was "It's an orgasum in my mouth!" Then our walk to burn some calories to try & get slurpees but the machine was out of order. You know the feeling of wanting to collapse walking so many blocks, & you see signs that say OUT OF ORDER?! We ended up enjoying an Arizon Green Tea & Ginseng iced tea instead. We walked further downtown & crossed through West 4th to go to the piers. Sitting on the grass, watching the skyline of New Jersey, talking, enjoying the cool breeze from the river was absolutely priceless. I didn't want to leave until she grew an appetite because I really wanted to take her to the insanely healthy & delicious spot. Finally! I knew her tummy was grumbling & wanted to eat. We walked back towards West 4th, hopped into a dope bar we like to have $4 Soco-lime shots & left to walk a block over to Red Bamboo. Red Bamboo is unexplainable! They're food there is incredibly tasty, but it's vegan/vegetarian. I knew she would like everything, she even tried new things & vegetables, but it was all perfect for her diet. Once we stuffed our faces, had a nice glass of wine, I walked her to the train, hugged & told her I'd speak to her soon. I walked myself to the train & thats where our journey ended.

Now if you're reading this you probably think I'm writing about my ex, but I'm honestly not. I'm talking about my friend Stefanie, which if you've read a previous post I made, is someone extremely important in my life. We had a little falling out, but it was unintentional, but hurt me a lot. After we spoke, got to spend time together, even texted one another when we got into our final destinations, we just knew that we will have one another no matter what happens. Steffy is honestly a person who has shown me a lot about myself, shown me that I am impatient & I do get angry over things without knowing the other side sometimes. & as much as I try to be level headed about things, I do let things get the best of me. She is strong, beautiful & fills this gap that has never been ventured in my life. I love her & I love the relationship her & I have. I can say she is truly someone I would hate to lose, & after our nice night together, I wouldn't let that happen, even if it was close to.

This from my first shoot.

What kills me is how things from two years ago will always come up because of the internet. Am I mad? In no way would I be. I can honestly sit here & say that when I did work with Chandler & ShortyPop back in 2009 it was an awesome experience. I remember my first shoot I had my friend Beans there with me. She was completely supportive of me showing my body & just having fun. My second shoot I actually had a 'Girl on Girl' shoot with Jesicka. Now that - THAT WAS MY FAVORITE! Obviously because it was with a gorgeous female, but at the same time because Jesicka & I just did whatever & enjoyed all that it was. The video Chandler has posted on YouTube was pretty awesome, especially the kiss we had going. I got to kiss her several times, might I add, it's fun kissing your straight friends. :)

So this morning when I saw a Polaroid of myself going around so much time later & it exposing my body, I thought to myself "Wow! That was me when I just turned 21. What a way to go into that year." LOL. I really had all the support, even from my mother. Like she said "Screw it you live once, just do it!" I did! & I regret not one moment because it was all such an enjoyable experience. More than anything looking at that picture this morning it made me realize something about myself; I really didn't care about my body then, I felt good about it. I was so into just doing whatever & not caring, that I see it now & say "I'm too scared to even consider doing that." I guess my health (although I was sick then) took a greater toll on me within the past year. It made me more conscience about what I do & what I show. Not for one second though do I not look at the pictures that I have & the picture that is posted & tell myself, "DAMN, I REALLY WAS BALLSY!" Not a slut, a whore, tricking around at all - at that time I was even dating someone who said it would be awesome to do. I just felt FREE! & that sense of freedom about myself, about my body, I haven't had in a long time.

Now to people who are posting it, or blogging it, they might see it as something else. That doesn't bother me, I'm fine with that. But I can say when I did that I got to be apart of something that was hype at the moment & even a girl in Cali purchased a damn polaroid of Jesicka & I kissing. Before ShortyPop was purchased by Supreme in March of 2010, I got to do something I felt was liberating. Everyone is different, people will see it differently, but looking at that picture I am proud that I did a half nude shoot. Hey, it is what it is. I feel I have no reason to be ashamed, it was an experience in my life that I can now look at & remember two years ago & how it all went down.

I was told that colors can help a person cheer up. I've been needing a lot of cheering up, but I am taking it all for what it is. I can't do anything about what has happened, but work on the future before me.

Although I have a small bald spot now, I can still let my hair loose into a fro. I love how free it makes me feel, even though the sun beaming on it can get me hot. My curls are apart of me. I honestly just enjoy messing with them & going on about my day.

My cousin Kat has always been such a big part of my life. I can honestly say without her a lot would be different, I would probably have thrown in the towel a long time ago. There are plenty of people who have helped me, but my cousin (who is my Dad's niece) is like my sister. We are a year & a half apart & we were each other's best friends growing up & we still are tighter than ever. Since she went to Rhode Island for school and stayed there for a few years she hasn't been around. Now she's been 29843% there for me & apart of what I deal with. I couldn't more appreciative than I am now for her wanting to be going through this journey with me. She said she's been missing around for so long & now she doesn't want to miss not one moment. I love her for even just texting "I love you & I hope you're ok today." Seriously just the little things.

The weekend is over, back to the hectic week.

My name plate has been with me since I was 11 years old.

I wonder what would happen if I made a post every Friday with some kind of topic & it was all called TGIF? I think it would be interesting, but I would have to think of a topic every Friday that involves or relates to the previous on, but with a different edge.

I guess I've gotten used to just snapping a picture with my phone & posting it as apart of my blog for the day. Nothing spectacular about this outfit, it is Friday.

I still have pictures that I need to post from my trip to Jamaica, videos as well. I also wanted to post the pictures I had from my Fourth of July weekend. I will put them up on Flickr, then post them up on here hopefully in one blog post instead of just individual ones. I still have to get the hang of Flickr, I want to build on my gallery that I have on there. The great thing about Flickr is the fact that I can look for people by the camera they use, or they ideas they have & be inspired, or just enjoy what they have done.

I will do my best to not be lazy & post some of these things later on today. Let's see how it all works out. Other then that I hope everyone at least enjoys the day - rain or shine.

Did You Paint Today?!

I honestly can say I really liked this loosely fitted H&M dress. It was longer towards the back then it was in the front & had two slits on the side. I just threw it together with a belt & some flats that I had that were a tan/beige color.

*Health Update: I get really bloated because of the issues that I have. So items like this help me stay comfortable & not feel to pressed into an attire. I know I've been losing hair more than usual, but I constantly treat it with olive oil items and use only a little bit of gel when it's needed & hair spray. BUT this morning when I was doing my hair I noticed that I had a bald spot. A nice bald spot sitting there; thin hair, bald spot, how lovely! I cried, I won't say that I didn't. Now I have to look into a new doctor closer to where I recently moved. It's scary, I don't know if many people can understand how scary it is. If it's not one thing with my health it's another. I just started taking antibiotics for my severe sinus infection, but everything else feels like it wants to collapse. I guess this is what I meant to live with & deal with. Let's see what doctor I can find in my new area that will be able to take care of me. I also have to look into a specialist with my new health insurance, since the one I was suggested is no where near me & doesn't take the new insurance that I have. Oh dear life!

Floral Is In, Right?!

It's a nice easy post that I can make each day, well mostly Monday-Friday, especially if I throw something together. I'll probably be wearing this again soon. It's a sweater-blazer with a floral top that has purple lace on the back underneath. I wore it with some jeans and teal sandals.

I'm not sure if it's odd the way I take the pictures of what I wear. Am I supposed to be taking pictures of myself as well? Eh, as long as it's an idea of what someone so fashionless as myself puts together. I mean anyone can dress themselves, but if you like what you wear I guess it is nice to share with others. I was comfortable & really liked the colors. OH COLORS! :)

UPDATE* - I went to Best Buy to see if I could fix my camera. Apparently all that it needed was to try out. It works for now. I still have the warrenty & coverage for it, so let's see what happens. I got the video from the ziplining on my computer, now it's a matter of uploading it. That & the few pictures I did get from my trip to Jamaica. Hopefully it'll all be posted soon. I won't back-date the pictures, but I will post the dates they were taken. I cleaned out my Flickr so that should be a big help with everything.

I noticed I never put a contact information on my blog. I have an about me, but no way of people contacting me. The icons on the side are useful, but useless. I don't have a Tumblr anymore or Twitter, they are both blank. I have a Youtube that I should probably post up there. Sigh, in time it will come together. Maybe even a new layout.

Long Stripped Dress.

A lovely blogger Dari gave me a suggestion of doing OOTD (Outfit of the Days). Now if you know me or have read my about me, you will know I am far from a fashionista. But I figured it would be a cool idea to show what I threw together, whether it's simple or funky, because a lot of what I wear I toss on & find for CHEAP (for the most part at least)!

This was a long dress that I got online from Forever 21 for $10. It was huge on me so I threw on a tan belt with my off-white quarter sleeve cardigan. I thought it was nice especially with the way the weather has been & I could wear it to work during the week. Thank goodness it was comfortable & kept my legs warm in the AC.

Mango frozen yogurt with Kiwi, Strawberries, Raspberries & Fruity Pebbles.

It's one thing for me to be addicted to Hello Kitty & sushi, but PINKBERRY?! YESSS! It's found a way to my heart. Even with a little bit of money I will manage to squeeze in the room for some delicious Mango topped with fruits and Fruity pebbles. Thanks to Glo, I am all over it. I will take myself for the most part. I've gone with maybe two other people the past 10 times I've been there. Other then that, it's just me & this delicious picker upper. If I'm having Pinkberry it's because I'm either: 1) Craving it. 2) Really down. 3) It's hot out, it's healthy & it's so damn DELICIOUS! :)

Today it was more than needed to make me feel just a bit better.

Sunday - Pride.

As much of a let down it was not to go to Pride yesterday, I couldn’t. I ended up being taken care of & having to make a visit to the ER. I hate hospitals, I hate it because of the germs, the wait, the fact that I’m in a hospital period. I know a few people who were probably disappointed, but I need to worry about my health first. I am proud of my love for women, I am happy to be apart of the LGBTQ community, I have celebrated before & although I am not a fan of some things, it would have been nice to be there with those who matter to me & are rejoicing with me. I can’t change that now though because when I think things are slowly coming together, they are slowly falling apart in other aspects.

I’m always tired, I’m always in pain & turning to pain medicine will not help solve anything. Clearly not every doctor is meant to be a doctor either. I need to cleanse myself, maybe that will help one of the issues, but for now I have to maintain what I can. With barely any sleep, I got up & made sure I was at work. I tried to make sure I didn’t look out of it, I wasn’t too tired. I don’t want what happens with my body to effect everything entirely (although it seems like it already has).

I’m taking deep breaths, just hoping that things turn around, or I can stay strong.

Legalization of Gay Marriage in NY!

What a way to go to sleep, what a way to wake up. Never could I have I imagined the thought of marrying a woman would be legal. Finally our civil rights as gay women and men has come true. I can love who I want, build a family with them, but most of all have a beautiful wedding & legally call them my wife. The option of being able to spend the rest of my life with a woman is such a beautiful concept, now it can finally be put into motion.

Last night I was teary eyed, but this morning I am. Seeing all the pictures going around on the internet, seeing how happy everyone is, especially being pride weekend here in NY. It's madness, the streets being as packed as they are, filled with people who have been together for decades, finally capable of loving each other eternally & having their wife or husband, not just the "title".

It hit me more knowing that less than a year ago I was proposed to. I was "engaged" & if we were still together we'd be putting together our wedding & holding, kissing, loving one another celebrating this moment with one another. The thought of that, of knowing how thrilled she would be, looking at me, talking about our future together, that made me cry. But now I know that when she does find the one for her, even if in the future it isn't me, she will be able to wed to the one she loves.

So to her & to everyone in the LGBTQ community, FINALLY! Such a joyous moment & great way to kick off Pride weekend. I hope you all don't marry someone lightly, marriage is a blessed and sacred commitment you should have with someone 'Til death do you part'. To all who supported all of us who have been reaching for this, thank you. This is a milestone that we all cried, cheered, were completely speechless about.

With that said, good morning everyone. The world is slowly changing. All you have to do is fight for what you believe in & it can take you any where.

A Damaged Camera.

I forgot to update everyone on what happened with my beautiful, expensive camera! While I was in Jamaica I thought it would be cool to take it with me while ziplining/canopying through the jungle. It was one of the most amazing & incredible experiences I ever got the chance to do, especially releasing all the stress by screaming at the top of my lungs on six different lines. One of them was 1000 feet across above all the trees in the jungle, I almost died screaming “Watagwan” all the way across.

But back to the point of this lol: My camera that I purchased back in March I believe – Canon EOS 600 (Rebel T3i) it got water damage. At the beginning of the excursion it was a light drizzle, I had the camera wrapped up, but I guess it just didn’t work. I did get some footage and videos flying across the first zipline & river, but now my poor baby doesn’t turn on. I still have to see if I can exchange it at Best Buy with the warranty, if not I’m screwed lol. At least my trip was ALL WORTH IT!

I will try getting the pictures from the trip up this weekend, especially the little video that I got. Let's see if I can also get my camera fixed. :(

It takes courage to write to someone. The worst part of it all is not knowing whether they want to hear from you or not. As much as I'd like a response back I don't expect one because honestly you never know what can be said. Hopefully they took the time to read what I had to say & find a way to forgive me. I am not asking to be in their life right now, maybe some where down the line when it's more acceptable for the both of us. It's really up to them because I put my pride aside for that moment to reach out.

Some Thoughts.

My ex being one of them. I miss her, I really do. When you are involved with someone for so much time, you really do end up missing them. Problem is I've realized how much things have changed. We have become two different people. What she has done to me has completely torn me, made me someone who I know I'm not. The worst thing about this is that you end up hurting those, or being someone you aren't, with new people wanting to be in your life. I can never say what will happen down the line, but for right now her & I need all the space possible. She can hate me & be spiteful towards me, I know I do the same. Never was it right for all the abuse that occurred during our relationship. I may not have said nice things, but bruises, not being able to breathe, hands around my neck weren't the solution to our fights. I am bitter because of this relationship, I am someone who I know I hate being. I've really brought myself down because of this.

So now that I am down I have tried finding ways to start new. I even made a decision to just get up and leave. It's happening! How it's going to turn out I have no clue, but I know I need this for myself. I know I need this for my own sanity. I need to better myself, become the great person people once saw of me, now this evil person who just hates the world.

I just want things to get better. I know things won't get better right away, but that is my focus to make them get better. I cut myself off many social networking sites just not to deal with the drama. The drama I had wasn't what I wanted, it wasn't fair to anyone involving it. People always find a way, especially if they're determined. If someone hates you, they will involve you. It's a matter of knowing what to believe, knowing that's true or not. Also, you have to be capable of distancing yourself from all of that. That is what I am doing. I have some people who deserve an apology. I hope they know who they met recently isn't who I actually am. I hope they give me another chance. If I can forgive, I hope they do too. I don't want to be shut out, or put into a category because of this. THIS IS NOT ME!

I've been dragging myself around, depressed, sad. I even sat there wanting everything to end, crying, letting my body get so upset that my illnesses start reacting to it & I'm in a bathroom just there.

I CAN NO LONGER BE THIS WAY!

Saturday (as I dated this back to the date of), was an amazing day. I bar tended a college graduation bbq for a girl I've known since I was about 10. Her, my God-sister & myself all grew up together. While I was serving drinks someone screams my name. I look up & it's my God-sister! I was extremely happy when I saw her, then my God-mother, then my beautiful God-daughter & God-son I haven't seen in FOREVER! Due to family issues, I distanced myself from a lot of people, especially them. It's a bad habit that I do & it made me miss seeing my little ones grow up! In a way I was completely disappointed, but when they enjoyed being around me, smiled, giggled & splashed water all over me, I knew that I wouldn't ever let that happen again. Later that day I got to see my God-brothers & how much they have matured. It's crazy how time changes, when you grow up with people how their life turns out.

My God-daughter's 4th birthday is coming up in a week & her birthday is at the end of the month. She already told me what she wants; "Titi I want a Jesse hat." You know, Jesse from Toy Story?! LOL, she's the cutest thing, I have been on my search. My God-son will get a little gift too because I can't leave him out. When Audrianna was born I was there that same day looking at her, loving her at that very moment. She's so big now, so precious! The picture I have framed of her as a baby, the one's with her & Santa, now just how smart she is. Lucas, he's a little munchkin brat, but he's the cutest little boy I swear.

The fact that I haven’t heard from you really has been lingering my mind, you have been invading my mind! I don’t know how to explain how much I miss your laugh, your smile, just being able to hug & kiss you. What else is there for me to do but just let you be? What else can I do but give you what you asked for & respecting your decisions?

I hope whenever I see you I will get that hug, that look, you will get that high that you once had with me. Maybe you will see that there is someone out there willing to take it all at an easy pace with you. There is so much more to get to know, more to understand, no matter how long you have known someone there is always more.

It's the second of the month & I have already posted as if we were one week into June. It's clear that coming home from my wonderful vacation a lot of things have happened. I wish I could specifically state it's one person, but there are a few people that have let me down. There have been a lot of misunderstandings, a lot of hurt, constant damage being done. It's hard to sit here & say "Well my ex is a complete jerk" when she isn't the only one who is making things difficult. My feelings are completely all over the place & there are times that I blame myself too.

I'm trying to be who I once was, but with the experiences that I have under my belt to build me. In reality, who I once was will never be again because once you have experienced so much you become a new person. Learning is consistent in all our day to day lives. Every time we have to deal with something, even if it's work related, school related, friend/relationships, we always seem to realize something new from it all. I have taken this point & embraced the fact that nothing remains the same, but you learn something new every day.

I like to write with no names because I don't want to pin point who. Blogging allows others to read what you feel, what you want to share & nothing in it says that I have to be completely direct with who is involved. I feel by sharing what is going on should be a lot to relate to already no matter who the person actually is. If someone was to ask because they are curious then I would feel free to share that with them. For the most part, I believe, all that I am saying is still a post that others can relate to, or get into my mind.

Right now, I am just really on the fence of caring & not giving a flying fuck! Some things I care about, some things I could just give a damn. Not everyone is worth my time, my emotions or even worth raising my blood pressure for. My health is a concern of mine, being mad over things that I can't control has been hard, but I keep reminding myself "There was nothing that could have been done." When someone else makes a decision & when I try reaching out to fix things, or even reach out to just let them know I miss them, I care, I can't do anything more when they turn their back. It bothers me, but why should I give a part of me to myself to someone who can't appreciate it?!

I am considering rereading this book that I know would help me proceed with not caring about the small things. I need it, but yet I want to start reading a new book to help me with other aspects of life. Self help books have become a big purchase for me. I have been trying every two weeks, or at least once a month to get books that I have seen look interesting. I'm going to build my collection & better myself little by little. Nothing can be fixed over night, & if it does how good of a job was actually done?

Truly does bother me that I want to talk to you, but I just choose not to. With the way I have been feeling & how things played out, I know that I would be giving in to someone who doesn’t appreciate the person they had. If someone misses you, & they know they had fault in a situation, they’d find a way to reach out to you, they’d sit there and make things better. When a person has too much pride to even do that, it makes you reconsider what you actually meant to them, if you ever meant anything.

Only time can tell what will happen. It’s all a matter of being patient & waiting it all out. I can’t write to someone when I already tried reaching out & they shut me down. They are better at running away from their problems, because they can’t face their true feelings.

There's something inside me that still seems to care about things. As much as I have started not to & begin to just shrug my shoulders to everything, at the same time I easing into letting things go with so many things. If it's not certain situations, or how I would feel about things, it's the people who it's all involved with. Now in some sense this is positive, or this is completely negative. Depending on the circumstance & what I not caring about anymore it can just be bad. When I stop caring about people there won't be a way to really come back into my life. Right now I still care just a little bit because of piece of me doesn't want to let people who I know have potential slip away. I can't help but let them though when they aren't helping in any way to make it better. Not caring about certain situations can benefit me, as well as certain people. It just helps me continue on with whatever I am doing & not want to look back.

When I start finding more reasons to not care, when I find more things that just show the lack of respect, or even just when I see something that blows mine completely, then I start letting it sink all in. I take it for what it is & I refuse to beg or to try to justify anything anymore. I begin to become distant & disappear. So in the end I either lost out on a good person in my life (but if they were good you'd think they'd be more about wanting to be around & more understanding), or they possibly lost out on someone good in theirs.

Please, I ask of those of you that are in my life, don't tell me one thing just to push me away, it hurts! Tell me something yet you're doing the complete opposite. You aren't being honest with me & you're just lying to yourself. & if that's the case you are messing with not one but anyone's emotions in your life because you are confused. Be careful what you say.
